As a result, in late October, with numbers going through the roof again, the decision was taken to shut retail, services, pubs and restaurants, deemed to be non-essential. What will this mean for the Irish economy? The minister for Finance along with government leaders and health professionals have put the health of the nation ahead of fiscal interest.’
