Armistice of 1918

L’Armistice, signé le 11 novembre 1918, marque la fin des combats de la Première Guerre Mondiale, qui a fait plus de 18,6 millions de morts, d’invalides et de mutilés.

The Armistice, signed on the 11th of November, 1918 marks the end of fighting in the First World War, which resulted in 18.6 million dead, disabled or injured.

Une commémoration pour saluer tous les soldats qui ont trouvé la mort lors de la Première Guerre Mondiale a eu lieu à Paris le 11 novembre 2018.

A commemoration to salute all the soldiers who died during the First World War was held in Paris on the 11th of November, 2018.

Au milieu de la forêt de Compiègne le Président de la France, Emmanuel Macron, et la Chancelière Allemande, Angela Merkel ont voulu célébrer une nouvelle fois la réconciliation franco-allemande.

In the middle of the Compiègne forest in France, Emmanuel Macron and the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel wished to celebrate once again, the franco-german reconciliation.

All of our monthly courses take place from September to May and are held in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. Our Courses begin at 1pm and ends at 5pm. The cost is €60 and includes a 30 page booklet with exclusive French Notes content. During our revision courses, students learn how to write opinion pieces, Diary entries and/or the narrative (récit),   learn active listening methodology, practice speaking and reading French comprehensions. They also do Translation exercises and study a specific area of grammar.
