STORMING CAPITOL HILL IN WASHINGTON
Le 6 janvier 2021, des scènes inimaginables se sont déroulées à Washington alors que les partisans de Donald Trump ont pris d’assaut le Capitole dans le but de perturber le dépouillement du Collège électoral du Congrès qui officialisera la prochaine investiture du président élu Joe Biden le 20 janvier.
On the 6th of January 2021 unimaginable scenes unfolded in Washington as supporters of Donald Trump stormed Capitol hill in a bid to disrupt Congress’s Electoral College count which will formalise presiden-elect Joe Biden’s upcoming inauguration on the 20th of January.
Je crois qu’il s’agissait d’une attaque frénétique contre la démocratie.
I believe that his was a frenzied attack on democracy.
Une femme qui a été abattue à l’intérieur du Capitole américain pendant la violente manifestation est décédée.
A woman who was shot inside the US Capitol during the violent protest has died.

Des scènes très moche se sont succédées lorsque les manifestants ont pris d’assaut le bâtiment et se sont heurtés à la police.
There were very ugly scenes as protestors stormed the building and clashed with police.
Une fois dans le bâtiment, les partisans de Donald Trump ont brisé des fenêtres, occupé des bureaux et même arraché des photos des murs des bureaux de la présidente de la Chambre Démocratique, Nancy Pelosi.
Once in the building, supporters of Donald Trump smashed windows, occupied offices and even ripped photos off the walls of the offices of Democratic House speaker Nancy Pelosi.

FRENCH ONLINE CLASSES
If you would be interested in learning about our on-line classes, please click on this link. We cater for students in 3rd/5th and 6th year. Our classes are held once a week and are transmitted via Zoom. Our classes cover important facets of your course, whether at Junior or Senior cycle French. Please note that these classes will not be recorded in accordance with GDPR regulation.
A student can do as many or as few lessons as they need.
